Meet The Friends
Meet the Friends
It's Cashew's World is inspired by our real pets — Cashew, Miss Winter and Possum. Their adventures, friendships and very different personalities are what started it all. Meet the real friends behind the stories!
Cashew
Cashew is our lovable cocker spaniel puppy and the heart of It's Cashew's World. He's kind, curious, loyal and absolutely determined to be involved in everything.
He loves exploring, walks, food and his feline friends. He approaches every new adventure with enormous enthusiasm — even when he hasn't completely worked out what he's doing yet.
Whether he's sliding across the tiles, finding the biggest stick imaginable or getting himself into another little adventure, Cashew's gentle nature and huge heart are never far away.
Meet the real Cashew ❤️
The real puppy who started Cashew's World. His floppy ears, freckles, gentle eyes and enthusiastic personality inspire the Cashew you see throughout our books and adventures.
Miss Winter
Miss Winter is curious, adventurous and just a little bit cheeky. She's the explorer of the family and has never been particularly interested in boundaries.
She loves investigating cupboards, hiding under furniture, chasing string and occasionally giving Cashew a playful swipe when he least expects it. She's also affectionate, brave and always ready to investigate something new.
Cashew and Winter are becoming the best of friends — although Cashew is still learning that Winter usually makes the rules.
Meet the real Miss Winter 💗
Our real black cat with striking green eyes and a very big personality. Her curiosity, confidence and cheeky adventures inspired Miss Winter's character. She's like customs, will inspect every bag that comes in the house
Possum
Possum is the eldest of our three friends and carries herself accordingly. Elegant, affectionate and wonderfully sassy, she knows exactly what she likes — and isn't afraid to let everybody else know too.
She prefers affection on her own terms, loves following Mum around and is perfectly capable of communicating an entire conversation with one look.
Possum tolerates Winter's antics and has gradually accepted the enthusiastic puppy who arrived in her kingdom. Cashew, wisely, has learned to respect the Queen's boundaries.
Meet the real Possum 👑
The eldest member of our furry family, with her beautiful blue eyes, distinctive tortie markings and unmistakable personality. She is very much the real Queen behind the character.
