Our Story
Our Story
It’s Cashew’s World is inspired by the real-life adventures of Cashew, Miss Winter and Possum — three much-loved family pets with three very different personalities.
Where it all began...
Cashew came into our family as our new cocker spaniel puppy and very quickly filled our home with love, laughter and more than a little chaos.
He has so much fun simply being Cashew. He explores everything, wants to be involved in everything and approaches life with the kind of enthusiasm only a puppy seems capable of.
But some of our favourite moments came from watching the way Cashew interacted with our two cats, Miss Winter and Possum.
Then there was Cashew. 💙
Cashew is kind, curious, loyal and has the biggest heart. He also has considerably more enthusiasm than common sense — which means even the most ordinary day can become an adventure.
From sliding across tiled floors and discovering enormous sticks to investigating food that definitely wasn't meant for him, Cashew has a wonderful ability to make us laugh.
The more we watched him, the more little stories seemed to appear. And that's when the idea for It's Cashew's World began.
Three pets. Three very different personalities.
Cashew may have started the idea, but his world wouldn't be the same without Miss Winter and Possum.
Cashew
Our lovable, enthusiastic cocker spaniel puppy with floppy ears, freckles and a huge heart.
Miss Winter
Curious, adventurous and a little cheeky. If there's somewhere she shouldn't be exploring, Winter probably wants to know what's there.
Possum
Elegant, affectionate and wonderfully sassy. The Queen of the House — everybody else simply lives there.
Why share their world?
Watching these three together made me realise just how much personality exists in the everyday moments we share with our pets.
Cashew brings endless enthusiasm. Winter brings curiosity and mischief. Possum brings dignity, attitude and the occasional look that says absolutely everything.
I wanted to capture those moments and share them with children and families — first through colouring, because who doesn't love to colour, and then through stories, activities and new adventures.
Everything in Cashew's World begins with the personalities and adventures of the real animals who inspired it.
